Chuck E Cheese

Last weekend Sarah, Katie and I took Maddison to Chuck E Cheese.
It is her new FAVORITE place. Every time she see's Chuck E
on coupons in the paper she screams 'CHEESE! CHEESE! CHEESE!'
And then she screams 'PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!'

She loves sliding. She is finally brave enough to climb up
the steps and slide down all by herself now.

She also LOVES riding the rides.
Every time it stops she asks for more.

And she takes driving very seriously! LOL
She turns the wheel the whole time the ride is going.
It is so funny to watch because she thinks she is really driving.

They have funny new cups with Chuck E's mouth attached to the straw. lol

GOGGIES!

Last weekend I went to Party City to get the invitations for Maddison's birthday party.
I saw these glasses and had to put them on her, too funny.

She now calls all glasses and goggles, GOGGIES.
It is funny how every word gets an 'ie' put on the end of it.

braids

Sarah was finally able to get Maddison's hair into french braids!
They didn't stay in very long because her hair is so fine,
but they were cute while they did.
Now if only I could learn to do this.
I have always been horrible at braiding.

IT'S A GIRL!

We went for another ultrasound yesterday and in the first 10 seconds the ultrasound tech said she was POSITIVE it was a GIRL.

Daddy is going to have his hands full with two girls! :)

ponytail

Maddison finally has enough hair that I can put it up in
a decent ponytail and use a normal elastic and not
the tiny rubber bands that I used to use.
And now almost all of her hair fits in the ponytail too!
So cute! She's such a big girl.

Vacuum

Maddison has always been TERRIFIED of the vacuum,
when it comes out she screams, runs
and hides until I am done. Sarah brought over her
vacuum for me to try and we showed Maddison how pretty
the pink vacuum is and now she likes it! LOL
SHE EVEN HELPED ME VACUUM WHEN IT WAS ON!

Talking

Maddison talks NON-STOP now. She has started picking words up on her own, I don't even have to teach them to her anymore. It seems like she learns a new word everyday! Her little voice is so cute. I sat down for a few minutes to make a list of all the words she knows, I can recall about 64 words! She has even started putting two and three words together to make little sentences. It's so crazy how fast they learn!

Giraffe fun!

Friday was overcast so we mistakenly thought that if
we got up early enough it wouldn't be that hot...
Well it was SO HOT and very humid.
BUT we were there early enough to feed the giraffe
which is something we have never done in all of our
trips to the zoo. Maddison loved the giraffe,
she was a little scared when he wrapped his tongue
around her hand to grabbed the lettuce, but loved
it again after it took the food.

New Kitty

For some insane reason Matt thought it would be a good idea to
bring a kitty home from the litter his sister's cat had...
I now say "don't grab the kitty by the neck" 458 times a day,
but Maddison really does love the kitty.

I call him Billy because of his mullet-like markings,
but apparently Matt named him Padre.

I think the kitty likes her too because he even followed
her to the bathtub.

First Ultrasound

Yesterday we had our first U/S for baby #2. It was a first trimester screening test to check for Down's syndrome. They measure a tiny area of fluid on the baby's neck. Well, turns out this baby is just as uncooperative as Maddison was in the womb. It did not want to move in the right direction at all and the U/S took a very long time. She did an underneath view of the baby's legs and I swear I saw boy parts! The U/S lady didn't tell us one way or the other what her opinion was but I REALLY hope I saw what I think I saw.
Anyways, it's heart rate was 161 bpm and everything looked good. The baby got the hiccups while we were watching and loved keeping it's hands up by its head. Both just like Maddison when she was a fetus.

A day...no 15 min at the park

We decided to go to the park today, which was a horrible idea
because it was SO HOT AND HUMID!
So we only stayed for about 15 min, that's all we could handle.


Every time I asked Maddie to smile she would
stop and give me this look. LOL
I guess this is the
'mom are you done taking pictures so I can go play?' look.

She loves the slide.

Although she has got the hang of the end part so
she doesn't really need my help.

10 WEEKS

Today I am 10 weeks pregnant. We have scheduled our 1st ultrasound for July 16th and I will be 13 weeks then! So hopefully on the 16th we will find out if it's a boy or girl! THINK BOY EVERYONE!

Strike a pose

I showed her how to strike a pose! lol
I showed her once and then said 'strike a pose!' and this
is what I got. SO FUNNY! She thought is was hilarious too.

Headband fun

I got a new headband and Maddison loves it.
As I said before she loves putting everything on her head!
I have just been leaving it out in the living room
because she likes to put in on so often.

By the way-this picture is her excited face.
Every time she hears the dogs bark or dad come home
she makes this face and says "ooooohh"

We started potty training!

Half the time she thinks it's fun
(and she loves the m&m reward)
the other half she will completely
deny she is pooping and refuse to get on the potty.
So it's hit and miss at this point, but she has done
#1 and #2 on her big girl potty!

I discovered its easier to keep her from running around the
house naked after potty time if I put the potty seat on the toilet cause she
can't get off of there by herself. lol

I don't know what her deal is but she loves putting
stuff on her head, here it's her shorts.
